Los Angeles Strolling Magician – Magic Castle Champion

November 18, 2010 – I just won 1st place in the Magic Castle’s strolling magic competition, aptly titled the “Strolling Magic Smackdown.” I had won first place in the preliminaries a couple months ago, and went up against the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from all the preliminary competitions. Over 30 magicians entered the competition, and the finals had us narrowed down to 9. We each performed close-up magic for about 6 minutes, and were judged based on skill, presentation, and audience involvement. Thanks to everybody who came out last night, and congratulations to everybody else who made the finals!
